THE PROBLEM
One of the major problems in India is integration into the working world for the lowest social classes.
Only 30 million Indians (7% of the 400 million workforce) have a regular job, with union protection, with a respectable wage.
The model of economic development, even if notably increate over recent years, still struggles to absorb the poorer sections (people outside castes and tribesmen) principally confined to rural areas.
As far as women are concerned, access for women to education and to the working world is still greatly limited and deeply influenced by cultural tradition.
Scholastic education and professional training are the only way to valorize women and their dignity, to develop their economic independence.
AIMS
- To facilitate the insertion of young women into the working world permitting them to achieve economic independence and social recognition.
- To favour their profession qualification through the creation of cutting and tailoring courses.
- To contribute to the orientation of young women towards the working world and to encourage the creation of micro-cooperatives.
